Our Committee
GCI is an Incorporated Association with a Committee of ten volunteers, chaired by our founder Stephen Davie.
The current Committee members are:

Committee members have designated responsibilities aligned to their skills and experience, in order to achieve our strategic objectives and annual work plans. We do not have any employees in Australia so all of our work is done by our volunteer Committee members.
We have one Sub-Committee, the Governance Risk & Finance (GRF) Sub-Committee, that monitors our regulatory compliance, risks and finances and reviews our policies and procedures.
The Committee meets at least quarterly and receives and reviews reports for each area of responsibility, in addition to reports from the Treasurer and the Chair of the GRF Sub-Committee. The Committee also reviews our strategic plan and risks annually.
Our management in Cambodia
GCI provides funding for Growing Cambodia Organization (GCO), a Cambodian Non-Government Organisation (NGO) that runs the four schools where English is being taught in regional areas around Siem Reap.
GCO is required to operate within the agreed budget each year.
Our GCO Manager is Sopheak Phay and our local Accountant is Vattey Ouch.
We receive regular reports from the GCO Manager and Accountant and the Chair liaises with them regularly. In addition, the Chair and other Committee members visit the schools (at their own cost) at least twice per year.
